Youth Deserve
Book Bans
Sex education is inextricably linked to today's book bans affecting schools and libraries. Overwhelmingly, the books being censored are targeted due to sexual content including LGBTQ+ identities and sexual experiences., when in reality these books simply provide valuable perspectives on diverse social issues. By promoting medically accurate, inclusive, and shame-free information, sex education encourages critical thinking, media literacy, and respect for diverse perspectives. This approach helps students understand and question censorship efforts, reinforcing their right to access a wide range of knowledge and fostering more open, informed school environments where all students can learn freely.
